The following is how Crunchyroll sums up the movie OVERLORD: The Sacred Kingdom:
When Momonga gets in for the last time after twelve years of playing his favorite MMORPG, he finds himself instantly transported into the game's universe and able to play it endlessly. His avatar gains the title of Sorcerer King Ains Ooal Gown as he progresses in his travels.
After building a massive wall to keep out intruders, The Sacred Kingdom—once affluent but now on the verge of ruin—enjoyed years of tranquility. But one day, all of this ends when an army of evil demi-humans led by the Demon Emperor Jaldabaoth shows up.
The adjacent realm of the Slane Theocracy is compelled to ask for assistance from their foes in the Sorcerer Kingdom due to their fear of invasion. Responding to the summons, Momonga—now referred to as the Sorcerer King Ains Ooal Gown—gathers the army of the undead from the Sorcerer Kingdom and the Sacred Kingdom to battle alongside them in the hopes of vanquishing the Demon Emperor
