The New My Hero Academia: You're Next Trailer Introduces You to Dark Might

 


The first installment of the four-part Memories recap series was followed earlier today by the release of a new teaser for the film My Hero Academia: You're Next. Animating the initial project, which was shown a year ago, is Studio BONES. A shattered society will be the setting for the story. The film is being directed by Tensai Okamura, and its Japanese premiere is scheduled for August 2. The Dark Might, a new antagonist in the teaser, has an identical appearance to All Might. The voice of the new villain is provided by Kenta Miyake, who also voices All Might:



The production will be overseen by Kohei Horikoshi, the original author of the My Hero Academia series. After World Heroes’ Mission (2021), Heroes: Rising (2019), and Two Heroes (2018), this is the fourth film in the My Hero Academia series. They were all based on original stories.

My Hero Academia anime is based on a manga series by Kohei Horikoshi that has been serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump since 2014. The manga received an anime adaptation by studio BONES in 2016. Season 2 aired in 2017, followed by the third season in 2018. The fourth part of the anime series started airing in the fall of 2019 and ended in the winter of 2020. The fifth season aired in 2021, while the sixth and latest aired from October 2022 until March of last year. The seventh season is slated for May 4 premiere date.
